This is for those of you who were affected by the floods in 2007, or who may know people who were.

It has been a long process to develop a solution to handling the surface water flooding with Thames Water and Ofwat.  At last, there is a proposal to construct a system of tunnels and holding tanks which will hopefully alleviate future flooding.  A major part of these plans involve the construction of a new storm relief sewer to capture storm flows and create space in the sewer network.  Thames Water is currently consulting on the proposal and the following is the invitation from the Council to attend the presentation of the Thames proposals.  If you can attend one of these meetings, please do so.  Even if you cannot attend, it is still important that as many people participate with the consultation to show .

Yours sincerely
